The Lean to the Left podcast is returning—with a new format and a renewed focus on stories that deserve attention.
Host Bob Gatty is launching Lean to the Left Special Reports, featuring occasional interviews with compelling guests, informed commentary on current events, and conversations about issues affecting American democracy and everyday life.
Unlike the podcast’s previous regularly scheduled programming, Special Reports will be produced when news developments, timely issues, or noteworthy guests warrant additional attention.
The new format allows Gatty to continue the independent journalism and political discussions that have defined Lean to the Left while maintaining a flexible production schedule.
First Special Report: Courtney McClain
The first installment, scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, features Courtney McClain, the 25-year-old Democrat running for Congress in South Carolina’s Fourth Congressional District.
McClain will discuss her candidacy, the challenges facing Upstate South Carolina, and the political perspectives of a new generation.
Additional Special Reports will follow as important stories and guests emerge.
Important voices. Timely issues. When the story demands it.
