By Bob Gatty
After nearly 850 episodes, I’ve decided to bring the Lean to the Left podcast to a close, at least for the foreseeable future.
This is not a decision I reached lightly.
As many of you know, my wife, Jackie, passed away on August 15 after a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Since then, I’ve found it difficult to give the podcast the focus and energy needed to produce the kind of program my guests and audience deserve.
So, for now, I am stepping away from the microphone.
I am 83 years old, and after producing just short of 850 episodes, I feel this may be the right time to close this chapter.
The LeanToTheLeft.net news and commentary site will continue, and previous podcast episodes will remain available on the website.
What’s Next?
As for what comes next, I’m not entirely sure.
I’m planning some travel, may finally finish a book I’ve kept on the back burner, and I’ve also considered a new project focused on Alzheimer’s research and support for family caregivers.
For now, though, my podcast voice is going quiet. I may still post an occasional commentary, but the weekly interview grind is coming to an end.
To everyone who has listened, watched, subscribed, shared our programs, appeared as a guest, or supported Lean to the Left in any way, thank you.
It has been a remarkable journey, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
For now, this is Bob Gatty, signing off for Lean to the Left
