Early in his first term, King Donald Trump crowned the mainstream media as “the enemy of the people.”
In fact, it was that derogatory label that prompted me to launch this blog, originally named “Not Fake News.” I just couldn’t stay quiet when he was being so nasty about news outlets that told the truth about his actions.
Now? Trump blames pollsters as his approval ratings plummet and has labeled the pollsters as “the enemy of the people.”
With approval numbers sinking like the Titanic, Trump is raging against The New York Times, ABC News/Washington Post, and even Fox News — polls that show his approval ratings at 42%, 39%, and 44% respectively. The ABC/WaPo poll? It’s even worse for Trump — the lowest approval rating of any president at this point in office over the last 80 years.
But, instead of taking responsibility himself, Trump blames the pollsters, whining and demanding investigations into their actions.
Here’s the truth: Trump doesn’t need an investigation — he needs to shut his fat mouth and go away. It’s been about 100 days of chaos. The country’s in deep trouble, and even many Trump voters are experiencing serious buyer’s remorse.
