Four More Years of Trump?

Updated: May 17

What would happen if Trump is returned to the White House? Just listen to what he says.

Many Americans carefully follow the Trump trials, hoping the former criminal-in-chief is held accountable for crimes committed before, during, and after his presidency.

Up first, his disgusting and depraved scheme to breach his marital vows with a porn star and a playmate, lie about the affairs, and cover them up by paying hush money to the two women. His misbehavior became criminal when he decided to falsify business records to disguise the payments as legal fees and expenses in his company’s books.

The cover-up scheme helped make him president, where he implemented a Muslim ban, separated families at the southern border, mishandled COVID-19, and passed a massive tax cut for the mega-rich, blowing up the deficit and leaving the rest of us to foot the bill.

If that isn’t enough to make your blood boil, he also obstructed the Mueller investigation (remember that?), abused his pardon power to excuse the crimes of his political cronies, got impeached twice, tried to subvert the 2020 election, and incited an insurrection that led to death, injuries, and millions in physical damage to our nation’s capital.

His post-presidency behavior has been equally despicable, disrespecting judges, threatening their family members, attempting to intimidate witnesses and potential jurors, and continuing to spout the big lie.

Four More Years of Trump?

Despite it all, Trump is the Republican’s choice for president in 2024. Polls show him neck and neck with President Biden. Many Americans laugh off his comments, but history tells us to listen carefully and understand that he means what he says. Based on his public and private statements, a second Trump term would be a disaster for America.

Please don’t take my word for it. Are you familiar with Project 25? Check it out—Trump and his cronies lay it all out for you, proving they are always willing to talk out of both sides of their mouths.

Trump plans to weaponize the Justice Department and go after Joe Biden. What happened to unbridled presidential immunity? Apparently, in Trump Land, absolute immunity only applies to presidents named Trump.

Because the meat and potatoes indictments are delayed by a Trump-licking judge in Florida and a cowardly United States Supreme Court, look for the former president, if elected, to pardon himself and most of the prominent participants in the January 6th insurrection. In Trump’s view, he and the insurrectionists are “patriots,” and former presidents can do whatever they want with classified documents.

He plans to use the military to round up and deport millions of undocumented immigrants, once more separating parents from their citizen children. While most of the undocumented are taxpayers, Trump promises migrant detention camps policed by government-paid soldiers.

He will also eliminate President Biden’s climate initiatives, which he calls a “green new scam.”

His promised foreign policy is a disaster. He plans to charge tariffs on Chinese goods, which will cause inflation and a loss of American jobs. He continues his verbal assault on NATO and threatens to withhold aid to Ukraine unless European allies contribute too. He missed the memo that other countries are already contributing financial support. As president, Trump remains willing to let Putin and Russia “do whatever the hell they want.”

Back at home, he plans to decimate civil service and civil rights, eliminating what he calls an “anti-white feeling in this country.” He claims to support delegating the abortion issue to the whims of the governments of individual states, even if their so-called bans date back to the 1800s.

Yet, Project 25 promises a federal anti-abortion police force, ready to criminalize any abortion, even ‘morning after’ pills. Don’t expect to hear much about this in the Republican platform. Trump and his cronies know that most Americans are pro-choice or, at least, support reasonable access to an abortion.

For the past seven-plus years, Trump has worn his “MAGA” hat and promised to “Make America Great Again.” Aside from insulting an already great country, the former president’s abuse of power, disdain for the rule of law, disregard for the electoral process, and lack of compassion for less fortunate citizens demonstrate that nothing about his vision is “great” for America.

The man who uses courtrooms to bully the less powerful has nothing but contempt for the civil and criminal justice systems, especially when he is the defendant. The judge in the “Hush Money” case has found him guilty of ten counts of contempt. His actions and words portray a man with contempt for everything America stands for.

Make America great again?

Who is he kidding?

In four years as president, he made America far worse, dividing the country along racial, ethnic, socio-economic, political, and legal lines. He and his so-called law and order party believe in law and order only when it applies to others, especially political opponents.

Trump is contemptuous of his supporters, expecting them to foot the bill for his criminal misadventures. He attacks our infrastructure, hates our cities, and despises the people who live in them, dividing the country into rich and poor, haves and have-nots. And he quietly supports a second insurrection should he lose in November.

This is not a candidate that seeks greatness for America—Donald Trump has proven, time and again, that he has nothing but contempt for all that America stands for. If elected to a second term, he will resurrect the “MAGA” slogan and use it to erode the rights of people experiencing poverty, women, minorities, LGBTQ citizens, and non-citizens.

Trump's Boot Lickers

Recently, one of Trump’s choices for a vice presidential spot on the 2024 Republican ticket, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, admitted she maliciously shot and killed her dog. Unapologetic, she suggested that President Biden’s dog should also be shot.

Another VP hopeful, Sen. Tim Scott (SC), refused to answer (yes or no) whether he would accept the results of the 2024 election.

Aside from being a criminal himself, Trump migrates toward other criminals like Steve Bannon, Rudy Giuliani, Roger Stone, and their ilk, pardoning them as he goes along. He would again surround himself with these people in the White House—those who would do his bidding without regard to conscience or country.

I understand that many of you are indifferent to Joe Biden, but he is far better than his disastrous alternative. Hold your nose if you have to, but when you go into the voting booth in November, consider this: America may never recover from four more years of Trump.
