Florida may be the most explosive example, but it isn’t the only one

An independent election watchdog organization says it has identified troubling election irregularities in multiple states that appear to have benefited Republican candidates.
The Election Truth Alliance (ETA), a nonprofit group composed of data scientists, statisticians, cybersecurity experts, legal advocates, and citizen volunteers, has conducted investigations in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Minnesota, Florida and other jurisdictions. According to the organization, a common thread has emerged from its analyses.
The candidates appearing to benefit most often were Republicans.
That finding stands in stark contrast to years of claims by Donald Trump and his allies that Democrats stole the 2020 election.
In fact, ETA Executive Director Lilli McGregor told me during a recent Lean to the Left podcast interview that her organization’s review of Minnesota election data found no evidence supporting claims that Joe Biden improperly benefited from election manipulation in 2020.
Instead, she said, ETA’s concerns have consistently pointed in the opposite direction.
“We see that there are, in 2016, 2020 and 2024, concerning trends in the data that may suggest benefits to Republican candidates.”
Why Florida Matters
Among ETA’s most significant findings are those involving Florida, Trump’s adopted home state and the location of Mar-a-Lago.
ETA recently examined voting data from Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and St. Lucie Counties and reported what it describes as statistically significant anomalies that favored Donald Trump. The organization says the patterns resemble election-forensics indicators identified by researchers studying manipulated elections in other countries.
The report also flagged multiple precincts reporting turnout levels exceeding 100 percent of registered voters, including one Miami-Dade precinct that reported 369 votes from only 300 registered voters. ETA says those discrepancies require explanation and independent verification.
Importantly, the organization stresses that these findings do not prove fraud occurred. Rather, ETA argues that the anomalies warrant audits, hand counts and additional investigation.

Pennsylvania Lawsuit Raises Additional Questions
Florida isn’t the only state attracting ETA’s attention.
The organization has filed a lawsuit in Pennsylvania, where McGregor says investigators became concerned after election-day bomb threats, voting machine failures, and software updates that received limited public scrutiny before the 2024 election.
ETA’s lawsuit also cites voting patterns that the organization says resemble statistical indicators often associated with election manipulation.
Again, McGregor emphasizes that the findings are not proof of wrongdoing.
But she argues they are significant enough to justify independent review.
North Carolina Shows Similar Patterns
ETA also conducted a detailed analysis of North Carolina voting data.
According to McGregor, researchers found highly consistent voting patterns across precincts and turnout-related trends that appeared unusually favorable to Republican candidates.
Those patterns, she said, raised concerns because they appeared more algorithmic than naturally occurring.
When asked directly who appeared to benefit from the anomalies identified in North Carolina, McGregor’s answer was straightforward:
“The Republican candidates.”
A Different Kind of Election Integrity Debate
Perhaps the most interesting aspect of ETA’s work is that it challenges assumptions held by both sides of the political spectrum.
Republicans have spent years claiming Democrats manipulated elections.
Many Democrats dismiss nearly all election-integrity concerns because of those false claims.
ETA’s position is different.
The organization argues that election systems should be verified regardless of which party benefits.
That means audits.
That means recounts.
That means transparency.
And that means following the evidence wherever it leads.
Democracy Depends on Confidence
Whether ETA ultimately proves correct or not, its findings raise important questions about election security and public confidence.
Americans deserve elections that are secure, transparent, and verifiable.
They deserve election systems that can withstand scrutiny.
And they deserve answers when credible questions are raised.
Trust in democracy should never depend on blind faith.
It should depend on verification.
